Hey Guys, A Good Day.
Since I mentioned about cybersecurity in my opening blog, I would like to give some precursor before we start with actual topics.
In order to begin a career in cyberSec, we need keep in mind the below points.
1) Foundational Skills.
2) Researching Skills.
3) Networking / Blogposts / videos explaining various topics on CyberSec.
There could be others who have the same topic as yours in their own profile / blogs. But thats ok, you can still go ahead and create your own blogs, technical write ups, articles etc.
Remember these will add weightage to you and your profile when you start looking for jobs.
Let me mention about foundational skills in this blog.
There are 3-4 foundational skills you need.
1) Linux knowledge ( minimum beginner to intermediate, preferred advanced levels ).
2) Networking Skills ( minimum knowledge of topics such as basic networking, TCP/IP, IP Addressing, OSI model, preferred CCNA level ).
3) Programming Skills ( any one programming language) I am learning Python, I can start some blogs on python soon.
Some skills on social networking, researching is needed. Researching would be something like you research about a specific software bug, technical vulnerabilities, reading about these vulnerabilities, and their corresponding mitigation etc.
Linux knowledge is needed as we will be mostly working on debian distributions such as Kali Linux, Parrot OS etc.
I will be covering Linux in separate blog posts. The contents are on their way.
Programing skills needed to read and understand what the program / code does. We need to be an expert or developer but we should be able to interpret the code and tweak them according to our needs. And sometimes we will have to develop our own tools to achieve certain objectives.
Some / many of these contents are coming on their way, I am also planning to start youtube videos on these. The content will be purely hands on and practical. .
